E’LAST Ends Group Activities After Six Years as Contracts Conclude

E’LAST has concluded its group activities six years after debuting, following the termination of the remaining members’ exclusive contracts with E Entertainment. The decision took effect on August 31, 2026, formally closing the current chapter for Rano, Baekgyeul, Romin, Won Hyuk, Wonjun and Yejun.

The agency said the contracts were ended by mutual agreement after extended conversations about the members’ past activities and future direction. Its announcement thanked the artists and supporters for their shared memories and asked fans to continue encouraging the members as they begin new stages of their careers.

Six contracts end together

The August 31 decision applies to all six artists who remained active under the E’LAST name. By ending their agreements on the same date, the group and agency presented the change as a collective conclusion rather than a gradual series of individual departures. The announcement also made clear that the group’s activities were ending, not simply entering an unspecified pause.

E Entertainment framed the outcome as the result of repeated discussion. That wording indicates that the members and company considered both the history they had built and the practical question of what each artist wanted next. No dispute was cited in the statement, which emphasized mutual agreement and support for future work.

The agency also thanked the fandom for accompanying E’LAST throughout the group’s run. Fans known as ELRINGs had followed the members through lineup changes and six years of releases and performances. The request for continued interest shifts that support from one shared group identity toward several individual paths.

Members address fans directly

Won Hyuk, Baekgyeul and Wonjun followed the official notice with personal letters on Instagram. Their messages acknowledged the end of E’LAST while focusing on future contact with fans, giving the announcement a more personal dimension beyond the contractual language.

Won Hyuk expressed regret that he had not been able to preserve the team. He said he plans to keep developing his abilities as both a musical actor and singer, with the goal of returning to audiences through continued work. His message points toward a career spanning stage acting and music rather than a withdrawal from performance.

Baekgyeul marked the end of his time as an E’LAST member but said he hoped to remain alongside ELRINGs as Baek Sun Woo. Wonjun likewise explained that even if he no longer promotes as an idol under the group name, he is planning opportunities to perform, communicate and meet fans more often.

A six-year career that began with Day Dream

E’LAST debuted in June 2020 as an eight-member group with the mini album Day Dream. The debut established the group’s name and introduced the lineup that would carry its early activities. Over time, contract endings reduced the team from eight members to six.

Seungyeop’s contract ended in 2025, while Choi In’s concluded in 2026. After those departures, Rano, Baekgyeul, Romin, Won Hyuk, Wonjun and Yejun continued activities as a six-member group. The new announcement ends the remaining contracts and brings that later formation to a close as well.

The disbandment therefore concludes both the original eight-member era and the six-member period that followed. The members’ letters suggest that the end of E’LAST does not mean the end of their public careers or their connection with ELRINGs. What changes is the structure around that relationship: instead of meeting supporters through one group, the artists will now pursue separate opportunities and define their next identities individually.
