KickFlip member Amaru will remain on hiatus from group activities while continuing treatment and rest for health concerns, JYP Entertainment announced on September 1. The agency said KickFlip will move ahead with its upcoming album and scheduled promotions as a six-member group.

The active lineup will consist of Kyehoon, Donghwa, Juwang, Minje, Keiju and Donghyeon. JYP said the plan was reached after discussions with Amaru and the other members, placing his recovery ahead of an immediate return to public schedules.

Recovery remains the central priority

The company did not provide a timetable for Amaru’s return. Instead, it said he would continue receiving treatment and take the time needed to rest. The open-ended language indicates that his participation will depend on the course of his recovery rather than a predetermined promotional date.

No additional medical details were disclosed. The announcement identified health concerns as the reason for the continuing absence but kept the nature of his condition private. JYP apologized to fans who had been anticipating the group’s next activities and asked for understanding.
