SEVENTEEN members DK and Vernon have set the dates for the next stage of their mandatory service, marking another important scheduling shift for one of K-pop’s most active global groups.

PLEDIS Entertainment announced on July 27 that Vernon will begin his military service on August 20, while DK is scheduled to enlist for active duty in the Army on September 8. The agency said both artists will take part in official activities already planned before their respective start dates.

The announcement means the two members will soon be temporarily absent from SEVENTEEN’s group schedule. Their enlistments come as the group continues to balance collective promotions, solo projects, unit activities, and a carefully managed service timeline for members who are required to fulfill South Korea’s military obligations.

What the Schedule Means

DK will enter active-duty Army service on September 8. Before that date, he is expected to complete official appearances and content commitments that have already been arranged. Vernon will begin service earlier, on August 20, through an alternative service route.
