BIGHIT MUSIC says CORTIS member Keonho will avoid choreography during upcoming activities while recovering from fractures near both little fingers.

CORTIS member Keonho will scale back his participation in upcoming performances after sustaining injuries to both hands, BIGHIT MUSIC announced on July 15. The agency said the singer recently fell and was diagnosed with fractures around both little fingers after receiving a hospital examination.
According to the announcement, Keonho has already received treatment and is recovering, but doctors advised him to wear casts and braces for the time being. The medical guidance also calls for him to limit excessive movement of both arms, a significant consideration for a K-pop artist preparing for a tour built around synchronized choreography.
The immediate change will affect CORTIS’s upcoming 2026 CORTIS TOUR IN INCHEON concerts on July 18 and 19. BIGHIT MUSIC said Keonho is expected to appear without choreography at those shows so that he can avoid putting unnecessary strain on the injured areas while still taking part within the limits of his condition.
Tour Plans Shift Around Recovery
The adjustment comes at a sensitive moment for the group because the upcoming PUT YOUR PHONE DOWN tour is being described as CORTIS’s first-ever tour. For fans, that milestone carries the expectation of seeing the full group together onstage. For the agency, the priority is now to keep Keonho involved without compromising the recovery plan recommended by medical professionals.
BIGHIT MUSIC said Keonho’s participation in later festivals and scheduled engagements will be reviewed case by case. The company indicated that future appearances may also be modified depending on his condition, meaning the Incheon concerts may not be the only activities affected while he continues treatment.
The agency’s statement emphasized flexibility rather than a fixed return date. That approach leaves room for Keonho to remain connected to group activities while avoiding the kind of repetitive arm and hand movement that could slow recovery. In idol performance schedules, even small physical limitations can change staging, formations, rehearsals, and camera blocking, particularly when choreography is central to the presentation.
Keonho Addresses Fans Directly
Following the agency notice, Keonho shared a message with fans through Weverse. He apologized for causing concern and said he would be diligent and responsible about treatment so that he can return in good health as soon as possible. His message also made clear that he had hoped to join the tour fully because of its importance to the group.
Keonho said he had wanted fans to see all five members together for the tour, but acknowledged that he will not be able to perform choreography alongside the others for now. He added that he would still do everything possible within his limits to contribute to the performances and help fans enjoy the Incheon concerts and future stages.
The update illustrates a familiar tension in K-pop touring: artists often want to stay present for major group milestones, while agencies must weigh that commitment against medical advice and long-term health. In this case, BIGHIT MUSIC is allowing Keonho to participate in a limited format rather than removing him from the concerts entirely, a compromise that keeps him visible while reducing physical risk.
For CORTIS, the situation may require quick adjustments in rehearsal and stage direction. Choreography-heavy performances depend on balanced formations, timing, and movement cues, so one member’s reduced movement can affect the shape of the full stage. Fans attending the first concerts may therefore see modified arrangements designed around Keonho’s recovery needs.
The announcement did not give a detailed recovery timetable, and the agency did not specify when Keonho might resume full choreography. For now, the key factors will be his medical follow-up, his comfort during scheduled activities, and whether the protective casts and braces remain necessary in the coming weeks.
BIGHIT MUSIC said it would continue supporting Keonho’s treatment and recovery so that he can return to fans in good health. Until then, his role in CORTIS’s tour and other events will be adjusted according to medical guidance, with the group moving forward while leaving space for his recovery.
