IVE began the North American leg of its SHOW WHAT I AM world tour with first-ever solo concerts in Toronto and Montreal.

IVE has opened the North American leg of its second world tour with a milestone pair of concerts in Canada, marking the group’s first solo performances in the country since debut. The six-member K-pop act brought SHOW WHAT I AM to Toronto on July 21 and Montreal on July 23 local time, using the two arena dates to introduce a refreshed concert identity to fans outside Asia.
The Canadian launch carries practical and symbolic weight for IVE. North America has become a key market for major K-pop tours, but a first solo concert in a new country still tests whether an artist can turn online recognition and streaming reach into a live audience. For IVE, the response in Toronto and Montreal suggested that the group’s catalog, visual direction, and fandom have matured into a touring package built for larger international stages.
A New Opening For SHOW WHAT I AM
The concerts began with GOTCHA and XOXZ, setting an assertive tone before the group moved into performances including BLACKHOLE, TKO, Holy Moly, and My Satisfaction. The early sequence emphasized both choreography and live presence, with the members moving through a set designed to show contrast rather than rely on a single mood.
Production also played a central role in the Canadian dates. IVE introduced new visual concepts and styling across the show, giving the North American opening its own character within the broader world tour. That mattered because the concerts were not only a continuation of an existing route; they were the first impression for many local fans seeing the group headline in person.
Member-focused solo stages added another layer to the program. Jang Wonyoung performed 8, Rei presented In Your Heart, Liz performed Unreal, Gaeul took on Odd, Leeseo performed Super ICY, and An Yujin delivered Force. The solo sequence gave each member space to define an individual color while still feeding back into the group’s larger identity.
Fan Singalongs Highlight IVE’s Reach
The second half of the concerts leaned into some of IVE’s most recognizable songs, including ATTITUDE, LOVE DIVE, REBEL HEART, and I AM. Those performances turned the arena atmosphere into a measure of the group’s international pull, especially as fans responded not only to hooks but to full Korean-language sections.
One of the clearest signs of that connection came during BANG BANG, when local fans joined in with the Korean lyrics. For a group whose rise has been defined by polished pop singles and confident visual branding, that kind of audience participation shows how far its music has traveled beyond short-form clips and casual recognition. It also reflects a broader shift in K-pop touring, where language is no longer a barrier to arena-scale engagement.
The encore brought a warmer finish with Supernova Love, Kitsch, and After LIKE. IVE used the closing stretch to move closer to the audience and extend the exchange with fans, ending the Canadian run with the kind of direct contact that can turn a first visit into a lasting market.
The Tour Moves Deeper Into North America
After completing the Toronto and Montreal concerts, IVE is continuing the North American route with stops scheduled in Newark, Austin, Los Angeles, Oakland, Seattle, and Vancouver. The schedule gives the group a wider test across major U.S. and Canadian markets, from established K-pop hubs to cities that are increasingly important on global tour maps.
IVE’s members described the Canadian concerts as a meaningful first step and credited fans’ energy for helping the tour begin on a strong note. Their message pointed toward a larger goal: carrying the momentum from the opening dates into the rest of the continent while presenting the group as both a collective and six distinct performers.
Since debut, IVE has built its image around poised confidence, direct pop hooks, and a clear sense of style. The first Canadian solo concerts added another marker to that development. Rather than simply expanding the itinerary, the Toronto and Montreal shows positioned SHOW WHAT I AM as a statement of where IVE now stands in the global K-pop touring field: established enough to command major rooms, but still growing into new cities with something to prove.
