PSY Opens 2026 Summer Swag Tour in Uijeongbu With 33,000 Fans

PSY has opened the 2026 edition of his signature summer concert series with a large-scale Uijeongbu show, setting the tone for another national run of Summer Swag.

The singer held PSY Summer Swag 2026 at Uijeongbu Stadium on June 27, drawing about 33,000 people for a concert that ran for roughly four hours. The opening night marked the first stop of a tour scheduled to move through nine cities and 14 performances, reaffirming the show’s role as one of South Korea’s most recognizable seasonal live brands.

Reports from the venue described the stadium area filling with fans well before showtime, many wearing the blue and white colors commonly associated with the water-heavy concert. That crowd image has become part of the event’s identity: Summer Swag is not framed only as a pop concert, but as an outdoor summer gathering built around audience participation, familiar choruses, and physical spectacle.

A four-hour opening night

PSY began the show with high-energy numbers including “Napal Baji” and “Celebrity,” then moved through a career-spanning set that mixed dance tracks, sing-along hits, and slower emotional moments. The reported setlist included songs such as “That That,” “New Face,” “Paradise,” “Gentleman,” “Daddy,” “Father,” “I Luv It,” “Gangnam Style,” and “We Are the One.” The concert also featured multiple encore sections, with PSY returning to remix familiar Korean pop hits before closing the night with additional fan favorites.

The performance leaned heavily on the contrast that has long defined PSY’s live appeal. His shows can shift quickly from comic timing to sentiment, from large-scale choreography to mass karaoke. Sung Si Kyung brought a different tone to the night, appearing as a returning guest closely associated with the series. He performed songs including “Hot Goodbye,” “Every Moment of You,” “To You,” and “On the Street,” giving the concert a softer vocal break amid the heavier dance and water-festival production. He also reflected on debuting around the same era as PSY, framing the appearance as a meeting of two long-running Korean pop careers.

Production scale remained central to the opening performance. The concert used water cannons, lasers, fireworks, and other special effects to turn the stadium into a summer festival environment. Tour moves to Daegu next

At the end of the Uijeongbu concert, PSY thanked fans for beginning what he described as a 65-day stretch of happiness. The comment captured the unusual scale of the summer tour, which is designed less like a short promotional outing and more like an annual live-event season.

The next performances are scheduled for Daegu on July 4 and 5. After that, the tour is expected to continue to Incheon, Seoul Grand Park in Gwacheon, Wonju, Suwon, Gwangju, Busan, and Daejeon. With 14 shows across nine cities, the 2026 run gives PSY a broad domestic platform at a time when many K-pop tours are increasingly defined by overseas routing.

For PSY, the opening night served as both a reminder of his catalog’s durability and a demonstration of how a veteran artist can maintain a major live brand without relying solely on new releases.
