Stray Kids’ Han Donates 100 Million Won to Support Children on His Birthday

Stray Kids member Han marked his birthday on September 14 with a donation of 100 million won, approximately $74,400, to the social welfare organization Angels Haven. The contribution is designated for programs serving children who have experienced abuse as well as young residents who need stable care and educational support. The announcement also identified how the full amount will be used, giving the contribution a clearly defined purpose from the outset.
The donation will be divided into two equal portions. Fifty million won will fund protection and psychological treatment for abused children, while the other 50 million won will support child-rearing and education at Eunpyeong Angel’s Home. The split gives the gift both an immediate recovery purpose and a longer-term role in children’s daily development.
Two areas of support
The first allocation centers on children recovering from abuse. Protection provides the foundation for safety, while psychological treatment addresses the emotional effects that can remain after a child is removed from harm. By directing funds to both needs, the donation recognizes that physical security and emotional recovery are closely connected.
The second allocation is intended for life at Eunpyeong Angel’s Home, covering child-rearing and education. These services support routines that extend beyond a single intervention, including the practical care and learning opportunities children require as they grow. The equal division places recovery services and continuing development on the same financial footing.
Han said he wanted to offer warm comfort to wounded children. He expressed hope that they would be able to overcome their pain in a safe, comfortable environment and recover their bright smiles. His message kept the focus on the children receiving help and on the conditions needed for healing.
A continuing pattern of giving
The birthday contribution follows another major donation made by Han in 2025. On that birthday, he provided funds to Samsung Medical Center for treatment and caregiving expenses for adults with severe illnesses, along with treatment costs for pediatric and adolescent patients.
He has also donated to World Vision Hong Kong to assist recovery from fire damage in the city. Taken together, the contributions have addressed medical care, support for younger patients, disaster recovery, protection from abuse, psychological treatment, and education. The beneficiaries and organizations have varied, but the donations share a focus on people facing difficult circumstances.
Using a birthday as the occasion for giving adds a recurring structure to that record. Rather than centering the date only on celebration, the September 14 donation directs attention and resources toward children whose recovery may depend on sustained professional care. It also makes the purpose of the funds clear through the two specified allocations.
Donation arrives during active group schedule
The announcement comes while Stray Kids maintains a busy international schedule. The group has launched STRAYCITY, a new festival led by Stray Kids across three South American locations: Bogotá, Buenos Aires, and Mexico City. The group’s new world tour, RUN IT, is also underway.
That touring activity places Han’s individual charitable action alongside a period of wide-reaching group promotions. Although the donation is separate from the concerts and festivals, its timing gives his birthday a public significance beyond performance milestones. The funds are assigned to concrete services that can continue after the birthday itself has passed.
For Angels Haven and Eunpyeong Angel’s Home, the contribution provides resources for two connected stages of support: helping children recover from harm and helping them move forward through care and education. For Han, it extends a record of giving that has previously included patients and communities affected by disaster. The latest donation turns his birthday into direct assistance for children seeking safety, stability, and a path toward recovery.
