The Listen Season 6 Unveils 14-Singer Lineup Led by Suho, Jongho and Chuu

SBS is bringing its busking series The Listen back for a sixth season with 14 vocalists drawn from multiple corners of Korean music. The new installment, titled The Listen: The Season We Stayed in a literal English translation, is set to begin filming in September and premiere in October.

The newly announced cast includes Lee Young Hyun, Tei, DK, Lee Seung Gi, EXO’s Suho, Lee Ye Joon, Yuju, Chuu, ATEEZ’s Jongho, Shin Ye Young, Kim Hee Jae, Park Ji Hyun, Song Min Jun and Lee Ye Ji. The broad selection brings together established soloists, idol-group members and singers known for vocal-centered performances.

Three participants will provide continuity from the previous season. DK, Lee Ye Joon and Kim Hee Jae are returning after leading the earlier installment, while the remaining 11 artists are new to the program. Their presence gives the production an experienced core as it introduces a substantially refreshed ensemble.

A lineup built around contrasting voices

The cast spans different generations and performance backgrounds. Lee Young Hyun and Tei bring long-running careers, while Lee Seung Gi adds experience across music and television. Suho, Yuju, Chuu and Jongho represent distinct strands of idol music, each arriving with an established vocal identity and a different relationship to group and solo performance.

Other members deepen that range. Lee Ye Joon and Shin Ye Young are associated with emotive vocal performances, while Kim Hee Jae, Park Ji Hyun and Song Min Jun expand the show’s stylistic mix. Lee Ye Ji joins the ensemble alongside the returning DK, creating a lineup designed to move beyond a single genre or generation.

The format is expected to make those differences part of the program rather than keeping every artist in a separate lane. In addition to solo stages, the season will feature collaborations and special group harmonies. That structure allows familiar voices to be heard in new combinations and makes the chemistry between cast members central to each performance.

Performances will continue beyond the broadcast

The songs presented on the show will not be limited to television episodes. Both solo numbers and group tracks performed during the season are scheduled for official release as digital singles alongside the broadcasts. Viewers will therefore be able to revisit the arrangements independently after watching the stages.

That release plan gives the series two connected outputs: the visual and narrative experience of artists preparing and performing together, and a catalog of completed recordings. Collaborative songs in particular may offer combinations that would be difficult to encounter through the singers’ regular album schedules or group activities.

Busking also changes the usual relationship between performers and listeners. Rather than relying only on a conventional studio stage, the format places the music in settings where the sense of live exchange is more immediate. For a cast of 14, those surroundings can highlight individual tone while still giving the season room to build larger ensemble moments.

Filming and premiere schedule

SBS announced the production and lineup on September 2. Filming is scheduled to start during September, leaving a relatively short runway before the October premiere. A specific first-broadcast date and detailed performance locations were not included in the initial announcement.

The sixth season’s central promise lies in how its returning anchors and 11 newcomers will interact. DK, Lee Ye Joon and Kim Hee Jae already understand the program’s demands, while the new cast members introduce fresh pairings. Suho, Jongho and Chuu are among the most recognizable additions, but the full ensemble is structured to make vocal contrast the main attraction.

With a 14-member cast, collaborative stages and simultaneous digital releases confirmed, The Listen: The Season We Stayed is positioning its October return as both a television series and an ongoing music project.
