WOODZ is adding a major new chapter to his career by joining the upcoming historical action film Nambeol. The singer, whose real name is Cho Seung Youn, has been confirmed for the movie in what is being positioned as his acting debut. The casting places him alongside a high-profile lineup led by Lee Byung Hun, Go Youn Jung, and Lee Do Hyun.

The project is set in the early Joseon dynasty and centers on a dangerous rescue mission. Its story follows nine warriors from different backgrounds, each with distinct abilities and social positions, as they travel to Tsushima Island to save captives taken by Japanese pirates. The premise gives the film a large ensemble frame while leaving room for individual characters to carry emotional and physical stakes.

WOODZ will play Cheot Nom, a skilled archer known for exceptional marksmanship. The character joins the expedition while carrying responsibility for family left behind in his hometown.
