RESCENE Tops August Girl Group Brand Reputation Rankings

RESCENE has taken first place in the August girl group brand reputation rankings, leading a top five that also includes IVE, Red Velvet, BLACKPINK, and aespa. The monthly list offers a snapshot of which acts generated the strongest combined public attention across participation, media coverage, online interaction, and community discussion during the measurement period.

The result marks a notable jump for RESCENE, whose brand reputation index reached 8,094,531 after a sharp rise from July. The group’s recent activity around tracks including Pretty Girl, LOVE ATTACK, and REMINE helped keep its name visible during the month, while the accompanying keyword analysis pointed to strong positive sentiment around the group.

RESCENE’s August surge

Brand reputation rankings do not measure one single achievement such as album sales or a music-show trophy. Instead, they combine several indicators intended to reflect a group’s broader footprint in public conversation. That makes RESCENE’s August result especially significant: the group moved from a lower position last month to the top of an increasingly crowded field.

The rise arrives as newer girl groups continue to compete for attention alongside established names. For an act still building its long-term profile, a strong month in participation and interaction can signal that promotions, music releases, and fan engagement are reaching beyond a core audience. The August index suggests RESCENE’s activity connected across several of those areas at once.

The list is not a sales chart or a popularity vote. Its combined approach gives weight to how consistently an act is discussed and encountered during the month. As a result, it can highlight groups whose visibility is being strengthened by a mix of music, media appearances, and sustained fan activity rather than by one isolated moment.

IVE and Red Velvet follow closely

IVE placed second with an index of 4,404,909, recording a month-to-month increase of 32.68 percent. Red Velvet followed in third at 4,113,926, with one of the largest gains among the leaders: a 165.98 percent increase from July. Their positions underline how established groups can continue to generate strong visibility through different kinds of activity, from releases and performances to individual schedules and ongoing fan interest.

BLACKPINK finished fourth with 3,943,630, a modest increase from the previous month, while aespa completed the top five at 3,093,640 after also improving on July’s total. The tight range among the second through fourth positions shows how quickly the order can shift when several major acts are active at the same time.

A broad and changing top 30

Beyond the leading five, the August top 30 includes a mix of newer and veteran groups, among them ILLIT, KiiiKiii, TWICE, LE SSERAFIM, fromis_9, OH MY GIRL, ITZY, BABYMONSTER, KATSEYE, KISS OF LIFE, MAMAMOO, NMIXX, Girls’ Generation, tripleS, and STAYC. The spread reflects the variety of generations currently shaping the girl group landscape.

The rankings are based on big-data analysis collected from July 9 through August 9. Because the methodology weighs public participation, media activity, communication, and community signals together, the list can capture momentum that may not be obvious from a single chart or platform. It also means that a group’s standing can change quickly as new songs, broadcasts, appearances, and fan campaigns enter the conversation.

For August, the clearest movement belongs to RESCENE, whose jump placed the group at the center of the month’s ranking. With IVE, Red Velvet, BLACKPINK, and aespa immediately behind, the result sets up another closely watched period as the K-pop calendar continues to bring new music and promotional activity. The next reporting period will show whether that momentum holds as the groups’ schedules and releases develop over the coming weeks.
