Tang Junsang Signs With Billions for a New Career Chapter

Actor Tang Junsang has signed an exclusive contract with Billions, opening a new professional chapter for a performer whose work has moved steadily between musical theatre, television and film. The agency announced the partnership on August 4 and said it plans to support his continued growth across those fields.

The move places Tang on a roster that includes Lee Junyoung, Son Hyun-joo, Jo Bo-ah, Jung Sung-il, Heo Sung-tae, Kim Ha-neul, Jung Eun-ji and Son Sang-yeon. For Tang, the agreement connects a long-running career built from childhood performance with an agency known for representing actors active in a range of projects.

A career built across stages and screens

Tang began performing in 2010 as a child actor in the musical Billy Elliot. Starting in theatre gave him early experience with live performance, a discipline that has remained a visible part of his professional identity even as his screen work gained wider attention.

His musical credits have included productions such as Mozart!, Elisabeth, Les Misérables, Seopyeonje and Kinky Boots. The variety of those productions reflects a career shaped by changing styles, from large-scale historical pieces to contemporary musicals and adaptations.

That foundation also informed his transition into film and television. Tang’s screen credits include films such as My Annoying Brother, 7 Years of Night, The King’s Letters, Dog Days, The Plot and Wonderland. His television work has brought him to audiences through projects including Crash Landing on You, Move to Heaven, Racket Boys and The Spy Who Loved Me.

Recognition through contrasting roles

One of Tang’s most recognized performances came in Move to Heaven, where he played Han Geu-ru, a young trauma cleaner who helps sort and return the possessions left behind by people who have died. The role required an understated emotional approach and introduced him to a broad international streaming audience.

He then took on a markedly different energy as Yoon Hae-kang in Racket Boys. The drama placed him in the world of competitive youth badminton, allowing him to portray a more outwardly driven character within an ensemble coming-of-age story. Together, the two roles illustrated the range he has developed since his early theatre work.

Tang has also continued to return to the stage. His recent appearance as L in the musical Death Note marked another major theatre role and underscored that his career has not followed a simple shift from child performer to screen actor. Instead, he has maintained a route that keeps both live and recorded performance in view.

What the new partnership signals

Billions said it intends to provide full support for Tang as he develops his abilities and pursues future opportunities. While no new project was announced alongside the contract, an agency signing can be an important practical step: management coordinates casting discussions, schedules, public activities and long-term career planning as an actor considers work across multiple formats.

For Tang, that flexibility is especially relevant. His background gives him experience in musicals, character-driven dramas and feature films, and each field brings different production rhythms and audiences. A new agency relationship offers a framework for choosing roles that can build on that versatility rather than limiting it to one lane.

The announcement therefore represents more than a roster addition. It is the start of a fresh working partnership for an actor whose career has already covered a substantial span of Korean entertainment.
