SM Entertainment Maps Out Second-Half 2026 Releases and Global Tours

SM Entertainment has outlined a busy second half of 2026, with new music from its major acts and an extensive schedule of tours and fan events.

August 5, 2026 Wednesday, published in the 'K-Pop' category. This is a post. Title: SM Entertainment Maps Out Second-Half 2026 Releases and Global Tours...

SM Entertainment is heading into the second half of 2026 with a crowded release calendar that stretches from new units and solo projects to major group albums and overseas touring. The company has previewed a schedule that puts several generations of its roster in motion across the year’s final two quarters.

The outline arrived alongside the company’s second-quarter business results and offers an early view of how its music, concert and fan-event plans will connect through the rest of the year. Rather than centering on a single flagship release, the calendar spreads activity across established names, active groups and newer acts.

A busy third quarter begins with a new unit

One of the most notable items is the planned debut single from Girls’ Generation-HRS, a unit bringing together Hyoyeon, Yuri and Sooyoung. The project gives three members of Girls’ Generation a new group format while maintaining the individual activity that has long characterized the members’ careers.

The third quarter will also include a full-length studio album from NCT 127. Mini albums are scheduled from Minho and WayV, adding a solo release and a group project to a period already shaped by the new Girls’ Generation unit. Together, those releases point to a varied early phase of the plan, spanning pop groups, subunits and individual artists.

For fans, the density of the schedule may make the late-summer period a particularly active one. It also signals a continued emphasis on releases tailored to different audiences within the same label ecosystem, rather than a one-size-fits-all rollout. The announced sequence leaves space for distinct visual concepts and promotional cycles while still presenting a connected company-wide season.

Fourth-quarter plans widen the roster

The final quarter is set to be even broader. Full-length albums are planned from Yesung, Taeyeon, Jaehyun and NCT DREAM. Each project brings a different musical identity to the lineup, from veteran solo voices to one of the label’s most visible group acts.

Changmin, Xiaojun, NCT WISH and an EXO unit are listed for mini albums, while Hearts2Hearts is preparing a single. RIIZE is also scheduled to return during the quarter. The range of formats is notable: full albums can anchor a promotional cycle, while mini albums and singles allow multiple artists to enter the market in close succession.

That approach could keep SM Entertainment present across the season without reducing the schedule to a single sound or concept. It also creates room for artists at different stages of their careers, pairing long-running names with groups that are continuing to build their catalogues and live audiences. A staggered calendar can also give each release a clearer moment while maintaining momentum from one week to the next.

Live events extend the campaign

The music releases will be supported by a substantial live schedule. aespa is preparing a new global tour, and NCT WISH has a fan meeting tour ahead. Yunho, Super Junior-83z, Yesung, Ryeowook, NCT 127 and WayV are also slated for world tours.

Touring gives the calendar an international dimension beyond digital releases and music-show promotions. For artists, it is an opportunity to turn new material into a direct live experience; for audiences, it means that the second-half rollout will unfold on stages as well as on streaming platforms. Fan meetings provide a different but complementary setting, bringing artists closer to audiences between larger concert dates.

With activity planned across recordings, singles, albums, fan meetings and global concerts, SM Entertainment’s roadmap sets up an unusually packed finish to 2026. Specific release dates and additional details will determine how the individual campaigns take shape, but the initial lineup makes clear that the company is preparing for a sustained run of music and live events.
