RESCENE’s Woni Leads August Rookie Idol Brand Reputation Rankings

RESCENE’s Woni topped August’s individual rookie idol brand reputation rankings as her group placed five members in the top seven.

August 5, 2026 Wednesday, published in the 'K-Pop' category. This is a post. Title: RESCENE’s Woni Leads August Rookie Idol Brand Reputation Rankings...

RESCENE’s Woni has taken first place in the August individual rookie idol brand reputation rankings, leading a month in which RESCENE claimed five of the top seven positions. The latest results place the group firmly at the center of a closely watched rookie-class race across Korea’s pop industry.

The monthly list measures individual visibility through a combined review of consumer participation, media coverage, online interaction and community awareness. The August edition drew on data collected between July 5 and August 5, offering a snapshot of which newer artists generated the strongest public attention during the period.

Woni holds the top spot

Woni recorded a brand reputation index of 2,508,173, maintaining her position at No. 1. Her score rose 58.25 percent from July, a notable increase in a field where rankings can move quickly as new releases, performances and promotional activity reshape online conversation.

Her keyword analysis highlighted “LOVE ATTACK” and “REMINE”, while related terms included “confident,” “cheer on” and “cute.” The analysis also measured 92.60 percent positive reactions, reinforcing the strong sentiment surrounding her August profile.

RESCENE’s presence extends well beyond the winner’s position. Minami ranked fourth with an index of 1,343,118, and Zena followed in fifth at 1,137,350. Liv and May completed the group’s remarkable top-seven showing, ranking sixth and seventh respectively.

The result illustrates the value of coordinated group activity in a debut-era market. When a group keeps several members visible through performances and recurring content, attention can spread across individual names rather than remaining attached to a single representative. That pattern is evident in RESCENE’s cluster of rankings, which gives the group multiple points of recognition during a highly competitive promotion cycle.

A competitive rookie field

CORTIS member Keonho climbed to second place after a 117.18 percent month-on-month gain, reaching an index of 1,429,603. The jump was the largest percentage increase among the top three and positioned him just ahead of ILLIT’s Wonhee, who came in third with 1,406,679 following a 62.18 percent increase.

The top 10 also included CORTIS’s Juhoon at eighth, MEOVV’s Anna at ninth and ILLIT’s Minju at 10th. That distribution shows how several newer groups are building recognizable individual identities at the same time, rather than concentrating attention around a single breakout act.

Further down the list, artists from TWS, Hearts2Hearts, KiiiKiii, AtHeart and BABYMONSTER appeared alongside additional members of CORTIS and ILLIT. The breadth of names reflects an increasingly crowded rookie scene, with television appearances, social content, music releases and live stages all contributing to an idol’s public reach.

For new acts, these rankings can also become a useful benchmark across comeback periods. A sharp monthly gain does not guarantee a permanent position, but it can signal that a concept, song, appearance or fan-community moment is traveling beyond an established core audience. The August results show several artists making that kind of advance at once.

What the results suggest

Brand reputation rankings are not a direct measure of album sales or chart performance, but they can illustrate how widely an artist is being discussed and encountered. For rookies, that visibility can be especially meaningful: individual recognition often helps new groups sustain attention between promotions and develop a broader audience.

RESCENE’s five placements in the top seven make the group the defining presence in August’s results, while Woni’s lead gives the achievement a clear focal point. Keonho and Wonhee’s strong gains also point to a dynamic field in which momentum is still being established rather than settled.

As the year progresses, the rankings will continue to track shifts in the public conversation around K-pop’s newest generation. August’s list, however, leaves little doubt about the current story: RESCENE has turned group interest into standout individual visibility, with Woni setting the pace.
