KATSEYE’s new single ‘Animal’ has delivered the group’s first top-10 placement on Billboard’s Global 200 while setting new personal bests across several U.S. and international charts.

KATSEYE has reached a new international milestone with ‘Animal,’ the group’s latest single. The song has debuted at No. 10 on Billboard’s Global 200, giving KATSEYE its first top-10 entry on the worldwide chart and marking a significant step in the group’s growing chart presence.
The Global 200 ranks songs using streaming and sales activity from territories around the world. A debut inside the top 10 places ‘Animal’ among the week’s most widely consumed releases internationally, and it gives the group a clear new benchmark in its recording career.
A first top-10 finish worldwide
‘Animal’ opened at No. 10 on the Global 200, surpassing KATSEYE’s previous best result on the tally. The placement reflects the single’s immediate reach across markets rather than a slow climb, an important distinction for a group building momentum with a global audience.
The release also performed strongly on Billboard’s Global Excl. U.S. chart, where it began at No. 12. That result is KATSEYE’s highest placement so far on the ranking, which measures consumption outside the United States. Taken together, the two debuts point to broad interest in the track across both U.S. and overseas listeners.
For a group navigating an increasingly competitive international pop landscape, the paired results offer a useful measure of scale. The Global 200 top 10 establishes ‘Animal’ as the group’s biggest worldwide chart entry to date, while the Global Excl. U.S. placement highlights traction beyond one market.
Chart debuts offer only an opening-week view, but they are closely watched because they show how successfully a new release reaches listeners at once. In this case, KATSEYE’s results span worldwide activity, international consumption outside the United States, and the major U.S. singles market. That breadth gives the launch a different shape from a result driven by a single platform or territory.
New career high on the Hot 100
‘Animal’ also entered the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 24, making it KATSEYE’s highest debut on the main U.S. singles chart. The Hot 100 combines U.S. streaming, sales, and radio data, so a first-week appearance in the top 25 is a notable achievement for the act.
The group’s highest overall Hot 100 peak still belongs to ‘Gabriela,’ which reached No. 21 in January. Even so, the No. 24 opening for ‘Animal’ sets a new standard for the group’s launch-week performance and gives the single room to develop as additional audience data arrives.
Its early showing was not limited to the flagship charts. ‘Animal’ debuted at No. 12 on both Billboard’s Streaming Songs chart and Digital Song Sales chart. Those parallel results indicate that the song attracted attention through more than one mode of listening and purchasing during its first chart week.
Artist ranking reflects the release week
KATSEYE also moved up to No. 17 on Billboard’s Artist 100, in the group’s 61st total week on that chart. The ranking measures artist activity across album and song performance, including consumption and radio indicators, and the rise followed the new single’s strong opening across multiple lists.
The results give KATSEYE a concentrated set of new career markers: a first Global 200 top 10, a best-ever Global Excl. U.S. position, a career-high Hot 100 debut, and top-12 starts on streaming and digital-sales rankings. As ‘Animal’ continues through its first weeks of release, the chart positions offer an early snapshot of an act expanding its reach in several key music markets at once.
