RESCENE Leads August Rookie Idol Group Brand Reputation Rankings

RESCENE topped the August 2026 rookie idol group brand reputation rankings, followed by CORTIS and ILLIT.

August 4, 2026 Tuesday, published in the 'K-Pop' category. This is a post. Title: RESCENE Leads August Rookie Idol Group Brand Reputation Rankings...

RESCENE has taken first place in the August 2026 brand reputation rankings for rookie idol groups, extending a strong run of visibility for the group during a crowded summer release season. The monthly list tracks public attention around newer acts and offers a snapshot of which names are generating the most activity across online and media spaces.

The August results put RESCENE ahead of CORTIS, ILLIT, TWS and KiiiKiii. The top five reflects a mix of groups at different points in their early careers, from artists building their first sustained momentum to acts already establishing a recognizable place in the wider K-pop market.

RESCENE widens its lead

RESCENE recorded a brand reputation index of 6,777,877, a 33.46 percent rise from July. The increase gave the group a sizable margin at the top of the monthly table and highlighted the impact of its recent music and promotional activity. Terms connected with the group’s music, including “LOVE ATTACK” and “REMINE,” featured prominently in the accompanying keyword analysis.

Brand reputation indexes are built from several measures of public engagement, including consumer participation, media coverage, interaction and community awareness. For the August edition, the data period ran from July 4 through August 4. The figures do not measure album sales or chart performance alone; instead, they aim to capture the breadth of a group’s current public footprint.

The method gives a useful view of visibility without reducing an act’s position to a single commercial metric. Newer groups often pursue different release schedules and promotional routes, so engagement across media and communities can reveal a different kind of momentum. August’s figures therefore offer a timely picture of which rookies are most present in the public conversation as the summer season develops.

For RESCENE, the result adds another marker of a growing profile. A large month-to-month gain can signal that new music, appearances and fan activity are reaching beyond a group’s established audience. It also places the members in a favorable position as attention shifts toward late-summer events and the next cycle of releases.

A closely watched top five

CORTIS remained in second place with an index of 4,540,233, preserving its standing near the top of the rookie field. ILLIT followed in third at 1,584,058, while TWS placed fourth with 1,447,697. TWS also posted a 23.63 percent increase from July, narrowing the distance within the middle of the top five.

KiiiKiii completed the leading group with an index of 1,385,044. Although the gap between first and second was notable, the placements behind RESCENE show how quickly public attention can shift among emerging teams. A comeback, viral performance, variety appearance or overseas schedule can rapidly change the conversation surrounding a rookie act.

The wider list included MEOVV, idntt, Hearts2Hearts, BABYMONSTER and izna in the next five positions. Other groups named in the top 30 included KATSEYE, ALPHA DRIVE ONE, AHOF, SAY MY NAME, KickFlip, XLOV, ARTMS, UNIS and NEXZ, underlining the number of young acts competing for sustained recognition.

What the ranking says about the rookie scene

This month’s table illustrates the range of strategies now shaping the rookie landscape. Some groups are converting a defining song into longer-term recognition, while others are building awareness through performance content, fan communities and frequent public appearances. The result is a field in which attention is distributed across many different concepts and audiences.

For fans, the rankings provide one more way to follow the changing momentum around new artists. For the groups themselves, a high placement can reinforce the value of a busy promotional period and help keep their names visible between major releases. With RESCENE holding the August lead and several competitors showing upward movement, the next monthly update will offer another test of how durable that momentum can be.
