TWS will release its second Japanese single, SODA SODA, on August 4 with multiple physical editions and a Shibuya showcase planned one day earlier.

TWS will return to the Japanese music market on August 4 with SODA SODA, the group’s second Japanese single and its latest step in a steady overseas expansion. The release is positioned as a bright summer project built around the group’s youthful pop identity, giving fans in Japan a new physical single cycle roughly a year after the act made its official Japanese debut.
The single is scheduled to arrive one day after a special showcase in Shibuya, placing the release in one of Tokyo’s most visible youth-culture districts. That timing gives TWS a clear promotional runway: meet fans first, then move directly into release day with store campaigns, preorder activity, and online attention already in motion.
A Summer Single Built For Japan
SODA SODA is being framed around a fizzy, refreshing image that fits the group’s established “boyhood pop” branding. Rather than treating the Japanese release as a simple translation of a Korean campaign, the project appears designed as a localized single with its own seasonal mood and packaging plan.
The physical release will include three tracks across its editions, including original Japanese material. For a young K-pop group still building its international catalog, that detail matters. Original songs aimed at the Japanese market can help deepen a fanbase beyond touring appearances or translated versions, giving local listeners music that feels made for the release cycle they are being asked to support.
The single will be sold in several formats, including first-press limited editions A and B, a standard edition, and six individual member-jacket editions. The limited editions include extras such as photobooks and randomly selected photocards, while each version carries its own product configuration. That structure follows a familiar K-pop and J-pop retail model, where collectible packaging can turn a single into both a music release and a fan-focused physical item.
For fans, the different editions also create practical choices. Some may prioritize a photobook or limited packaging, while others may choose a member-jacket version tied to a favorite performer. The strategy encourages early purchasing without relying only on the title track itself, and it gives the group multiple points of visibility in stores and online fan communities.
Showcase And Retail Events Add Momentum
TWS is also set to hold a special showcase in Shibuya on August 3, one day before the single becomes available. A pre-release showcase can help convert anticipation into direct fan engagement, especially in Japan, where organized release events and venue-based promotions remain important parts of idol and pop marketing.
Additional purchase-linked events and lottery opportunities are also part of the rollout through participating Japanese retailers. These campaigns can extend the life of a single beyond its official release date, giving fans more reasons to follow the schedule and helping the release maintain attention during its first promotional window.
The timing may also help international fans avoid confusion. August 4 is the official Japanese release date, but overseas buyers may see later shipping or arrival dates depending on the retailer. That difference is common with imported physical albums and singles, especially when local release-day availability and international delivery timelines do not match.
For TWS, SODA SODA continues a Japan-focused path that began with the group’s first Japanese single, Nice to See You Again, in July 2025. Returning with another dedicated single signals that the group is treating Japan as a continuing market rather than a one-off promotional stop.
The release also arrives at a point when newer-generation K-pop groups are increasingly expected to move quickly across Korean, Japanese, and global schedules. A well-timed summer single can serve several roles at once: it keeps the group active between larger Korean comebacks, gives Japanese fans new material, and strengthens the group’s identity outside its home market.
SODA SODA is now available for preorder and is set for release on August 4. With multiple editions, a Shibuya showcase, and retailer-linked fan events, TWS is preparing a focused Japanese campaign that combines music, collectibility, and in-person momentum.
