I.O.I has turned a long-discussed reunion into a full anniversary campaign, returning to the stage after nine years with new music, Seoul concerts, and an Asia tour plan. The project marks one of the most closely watched K-pop reunions of 2026 because the group was originally built for a short run, yet left a larger imprint than its brief activity window might suggest.

The reunited lineup includes Im Nayoung, Chungha, Kim Sejeong, Jung Chaeyeon, Kim Sohye, Yoo Yeonjung, Choi Yoojung, Kim Doyeon, and Jeon Somi. The company took charge of management for the reunion period, including the new album, concerts, and overseas dates. Seoul Concerts Put The Reunion In Front Of Fans

The emotional center of the comeback arrived at Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium in Seoul, where I.O.I opened its 2026 I.O.I Concert Tour: Loop in Seoul on May 29. The Seoul run was scheduled for three days through May 31, giving the reunion more than a symbolic one-night appearance and allowing the group to present both past and current material.

The set began with Pick Me, the Produce 101 theme song that remains inseparable from I.O.I’s origin story. Members framed the show as a return to a sound and atmosphere they had missed. Kim Doyeon credited fans for making the reunion possible and described being moved by the roar from the audience. Kim Sejeong spoke about the happiness and emotion of the moment, while Jeon Somi noted that her last I.O.I concert had still felt close in memory despite the years that had passed.

The concert also underscored how much of the reunion depends on shared memory. Several members referred to earlier stages, debut-showcase feelings, and choreography routes that were brought back into the new production. That approach makes sense for an anniversary project: fans came not only to hear updated performances, but to see whether the group’s original identity could survive the passage of time.
