‘Take A Hike!’ Sets August 18 Premiere With Car, the Garden, Lee Chae Min, Dowoon and Tarzzan

Netflix is preparing to send four entertainment figures far beyond their comfort zones in Take A Hike!, a new variety series built around a first-ever midwinter mountain expedition. The program, which premieres on August 18, brings together singer-songwriter Car, the Garden, actor Lee Chae Min, DAY6’s Dowoon and artist Tarzzan for a trip none of them appears especially eager to begin.

The show frames its adventure as a self-hiking challenge: a group of newcomers with little prior enthusiasm for mountaineering must learn how to confront a snow-covered route, changing weather and the ordinary strain of moving uphill for hours. Na Young Suk and Park Hyun Yong direct the series, placing the participants in an environment that makes their differences as visible as their shared inexperience.
