CORTIS Extends REDRED Chart Run as GREENGREEN Passes 3 Million Sales

CORTIS is pairing a long-running streaming hit with a major album-sales milestone less than a year after debut.

July 25, 2026 Saturday, published in the 'K-Pop' category. This is a post. Title: CORTIS Extends REDRED Chart Run as GREENGREEN Passes 3 Million Sales...

CORTIS is turning a breakout comeback into one of the defining K-pop growth stories of 2026. The BigHit Music boy group has extended the chart run of “REDRED” while its second mini album GREENGREEN has crossed the 3 million sales mark, giving the rookie act a rare combination of streaming durability and large-scale physical demand.

The group’s latest milestone came on July 24, when “REDRED” recorded its 90th consecutive day at No. 1 on Apple Music’s “Today’s Top 100: South Korea” chart. The song first reached the summit on April 26 and has remained there since, making it the longest-running No. 1 among songs released this year on the platform’s Korean daily ranking.

That streak places CORTIS in unusually high company. The all-time benchmark for the chart remains BTS’s “Dynamite,” which logged 112 No. 1 days. CORTIS, still less than a year from debut, is now described as holding the second-longest run on the chart while continuing to add to its own record with each new day at the top.

A Streaming Run With Multiple Signals

The Apple Music Korea streak is not an isolated result. “REDRED” has also reached No. 1 on Spotify’s Daily Top Songs South Korea chart 80 times as of the July 22 chart date. On Spotify’s Weekly Top Songs South Korea ranking, the track has held No. 1 for 12 straight weeks, while also spending 12 weeks on the Weekly Top Songs Global chart.

For a newly debuted boy group, that mix of local dominance and global chart presence matters. K-pop acts often show strong first-week activity from fandom mobilization, but CORTIS’s figures point to something broader: repeat listening across platforms, sustained discovery, and a title track that has stayed relevant well beyond its initial release cycle.

The song’s endurance has also helped sharpen the group’s identity. CORTIS has been promoted around the idea of a young creator crew, with members participating in music, video, and choreography. The phrase has become part of the group’s public image, linking the act’s performance energy to a more self-directed creative brand.

GREENGREEN Adds Album Weight

The streaming story is matched by a major album-sales result. The latest Circle Chart weekly album data for July 12-18 shows GREENGREEN, released on May 4, at cumulative sales of about 3.099 million copies. The album passed the triple-million threshold in its 11th week, a pace that puts CORTIS among the year’s biggest domestic album performers.

Within 2026 Korean releases, GREENGREEN is only the second album to have crossed 3 million copies on the chart, following BTS’s fifth full-length album ARIRANG. That comparison underscores the scale of the achievement, though CORTIS’s case is distinct because it arrives before the group has even completed its first year in the market.

The album total also reframes “REDRED” as more than a digital hit. A single can drive attention, but a triple-million-selling album suggests fans are converting that attention into purchases at a level usually reserved for highly established names. For a group that debuted in August 2025, the speed of that conversion is one of the clearest signs of its commercial acceleration.

Next Test: Live Expansion

CORTIS’s schedule now gives the group a chance to test that momentum outside chart dashboards. The members are set to appear at Lollapalooza Chicago from July 31 to August 1 local time, where they are billed as the only K-pop boy group in this year’s lineup. The timing gives the festival appearance added weight, arriving just as the group’s chart and sales metrics are peaking.

The group will then move into its first tour, 2026 CORTIS TOUR “Put Your Phone Down”, beginning August 4 in Toronto and continuing through six North American cities, including stops in the United States. Later in the month, CORTIS is scheduled to hold first-anniversary concerts on August 22 and 23 at Korea University’s Hwajeong Gymnasium in Seoul.

The next phase will show whether CORTIS can translate an exceptional Korean streaming run and blockbuster album sales into live-market staying power. For now, “REDRED” and GREENGREEN have given the group a rare early-career profile: a rookie act with numbers that already invite comparison to the top tier, but with its first major international test still unfolding.
